Falkland Palace: Gardens and Designed Landscape
Falkland Palace gardens is designated by Historic Environment Scotland under the "Gardens and Designed Landscapes" category (reference GDL00176).
"Dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, the attractive well-stocked gardens were re-designed by Percy Cane in 1947-52. The Royal Palace is category A listed.[1]
The gardens includes a number of listed buildings:
- Falkland Palace
- Falkland Castle
- Royal Stables and Tennis Court
- Private Bridge over Castle Shotts
- Falkland Palace garden walls
The general area of the Palace is also a scheduled monument.
